Encourage discussion on your blog

If your blog doesn’t have too original content then probably people will not comment on it. The question is how to encourage to post their comments them. The solution could be to post something controversial ( not hard if you have blog about politics, celebrities or religions). But what if you write about something like Wordpress. Sure this CMS is one of sexiest but I am afraid it is not enough. People should be motivated by something else. No, you don’t have to take a loan and pay them $5 for “Hi mate, your blog is cool!”. Most bloggers are hunting backlinks, especially from main page. Show Top Commentators is a such plug-in. Principle is easy. Commentators with most comments appears in your sidebar ( or where you put the code). And of course these people are shown with URL of their sites and this way they get backlinks. The more they comment, the higher they are and the longer they are on your blog’s main page. And as we know Google won’t count backlinks that are somewhere only for few hours.
